With queer representation in film and TV we see that many of them include plots about coming out. Internal conflict within the character and no story is shown after in film, and TV. They don’t have storylines of what comes next after coming out, it isn’t focused as much. They show it as if the LGBT community are only about coming out and there is nothing after that. They also tend to show queer characters as the side characters of the show or film but not really a main character. I would like to see realistic storylines that we can relate to within the LGBT community. But also, representation within minority groups. It seems that with film and TV, queer characters are mainly and usually only played by white actors. Minority groups are also queer, so I really don’t understand why we aren’t represented more. Within minority groups I would love to see more of Mexicans and Hispanics because there is very little to almost no representation in film or TV.
What I have posted below are a serious of minority queer characters and also minority queer side characters.
Riverdale’s, Joaquin DeSantos, a Mexican gay side character is associated as Kevin Keller’s boyfriend throughout the first season of the season. Not given a much given plot but just as Kevin’s boyfriend and that’s it.
Ok, Ok, this time I really need to go.

Sorry… I’ve just wanted to do that for a really long time.
Marvel’s Runaways, Nico Minoru, a the baddest, most fiercest Japanese witch out there is bisexual. Marvel showing us that superheroes with really cool powers are also queer.
Do we take that risk? What if we ruin it all, and we love like fools?
Love is a weird thing [x]
I have mentioned Shadowhunters and I have to once more. Magnus Bane a powerful bisexual warlock with demon blood, the bi-con we need. Amazing Asian representation for us queer minority.
#the magnus bane way of wearing a bathrobe
Queer Asian representation at its finest. Shadowhunters really did great with Magnus being bisexual.
Keiynan Lonsdale as Bram Greenfeld in Love, Simon (2018) dir. Greg Berlanti
Love Simon, anonymous user Blue or Bram, is gay in this film. Him being a queer black character is everything. Shows some type of diversity in the LGBT community.
